Summary
The Alabama Policy Institute is a non-partisan, non-profit research and education organization dedicated to influencing public policy in the interest of the preservation of free markets, limited government and strong families.
The mission of API is to provide information to the people of Alabama about the legislative issues being debated in Montgomery and Washington D.C. and to be a reliable resource to our elected representatives on public policy issues.
The Alabama Policy Institute is a voice from D.C and Montgomery to the state of Alabama, and a voice to D.C and Montgomery from the state of Alabama.

Job Description
This person will be required to “absorb the state” and create their own personal narrative of how to see Alabama reach its full potential.
A knowledge, awareness, and conviction towards the role of policy is a core component of this person’s professional career. They know good writing when they see it, and are not afraid to implement edits when excellence is the standard.
The value of networking, relationships, and development is a natural component of their demeanor. Their reputation must precede them.
This individual will be expected to pioneer and lead a new team beneath them that shares the vision and implement the vision of API. Recruiting, managing, and delegating to this group will be an increasing priority as API continues its momentum.
This person is intent on connecting with the next generation of Alabama’s future leaders.
This person loves Alabama. They are not satisfied with mediocrity from themselves, their team, or the state.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Past work experience in the government space is strongly preferred.
